Founded in 1932, the purpose of the Plumbing Inspectors' Association of Michigan, Inc. is to:

 Advance the latest and most improved methods of sanitary plumbing to better protect public health.

 Develop information and data of an educational nature which will benefit our membership and the people we serve.

 Promote harmony and cooperation between this organization, builders, craftsmen, public officials, citizens and other agencies.

 Serve the public interest by developing and recommending codes governing plumbing which are capable of uniform application.

 Promulgate policies for the mutual benefit of members.
